League Format - 4 Player Match Play Across a max of 6 Games Each Week- For each game (match) players will be randomly selected.
League Pinball Machines
● Each week, a max of six (6) pinball machines are selected for League play. These games may all be unique across the 6 weeks of play. Some machines may be repeated due to availability of the machines.
● Assigned games will be announced at 5:30pm on League night and will be available for open play until the League starts at 6:30. At that time they will be clearly marked for League Play and can only be played by League Members until League play is completed.
● Any Open Play attendees will be notified that such assigned games will not be available that night for play.
Arrival and Start Times
● ALL League players MUST pay $25 at the registration desk and then check in at the Pin Hall desk with Matt or Kevin, in order to have their scores count. Failure to do so could result in any scores achieved being null and void.
● The League play starts promptly at 6:30PM.
● We encourage League players to arrive no later than 6:15pm. Open Play at the PinHall starts at 5:30PM.
Attendance
● Players in the league are expected to attend ALL LEAGUE NIGHTS, but it is understandable that there might be a night that is not possible for a player to attend or where the player is tardy to the start time for the night’s league play. If a player cannot attend, or knows they will be late, they should let Kevin or Matt know as soon as possible. As such, each player’s lowest weekly score will be dropped across the 6 weeks of play (basically, only 5 weeks of play will be counted towards the final standings). This allows the flexibility of missing a league night, while at the same time rewards players for attending all nights.
● Players should stay close to the playing area during the league games. Any player not present at the start of their assigned game risks receiving a score of 0 for that game. At the discretion of the league director, Match Plays will not be delayed and balls will be plunged for each turn a player is not present for.
League Play and Rules
● Each week, each player will be randomly assigned up to a max of 6 games to no more than a 4 Player Match Play and for each game (match) players will be randomly selected.
● Each pin is set for 3-balls, with NO EXTRA BALLS allowed. If Games assigned happen to award points for any “extra ball” achievements, they will be counted.
● General Rules- League players:
Scoring and Finals
● Players earn points based on their finishing position on each machine.
● Pinburgh Scoring will be used for all 4–player matches (3/2/1/0), where the highest score receives 3 points, the second highest score receives 2 points, the 3rd highest score receives one point, and the lowest score receives zero points.
● The total Pinburgh points accumulated each week will determine each player's standings.
● Each player will have their lowest one week accumulated score dropped for the Finals Standings
● If after the six weeks of play there is a tie, any ties will be resolved by a one-ball playoff between the affected players on an assigned machine. If this playoff does not resolve the tie, additional balls will be played until the tie is broken.
● FINALS AND LEAGUE PARTY: Will be held on Friday, June 12th from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. This is a Private Event, closed to the public. The players will be broken down into three Brackets based on their League standing at the end of week 6:
● There are two separate Cash purses for Bracket A and Bracket B. Brackets A and B will be a Match-Play across three (3) machines. Match-Play Finals will use Pinburgh Scoring (3/2/1/0), where the highest score receives 3 points, the second highest score receives 2 points, the 3rd highest score receives one point, and the lowest score receives zero points.
If a tie occurs for any place, there will be a single game final death playoff, where the player with the best score at the end of 3-balls is declared the winner. Each player competing will receive a portion of the cash purse dependent on the final ranking in their Bracket. Bracket B Finals will play their 3 Rounds first, and Bracket A finals will play their Rounds after Bracket B winners are determined.
Bracket C players will compete in a final format selected by the League Admin. The winner of Bracket C will receive a Gift Certificate for a 2CP Unlimited Admission.
