PinGolf Format and Scoring
- The PinHall opens at 3:00pm for open play and the tournament will begin promptly at 4:00pm
- All designated pinball machines will be clearly marked with a Par Score and will only be available for tournament players
- Rounds
- Qualifying Round- up to 9 Pins (holes) with pairings of at least 2, 3, or 4 players
- A maximum of the Top 8 players (as ranked by Matchplay) from the Qualifying Round will move to the Finals Round
- Finals Round- 5 Pins (holes) in pairings of at least 2
- Note: number of Pins played in qualifying round and number of players moving on to the finals round is dependent on the total number of registered players
- Ties will be broken by comparing holes played, followed by holes-in-one followed by holes-in-two (Matchplay Rules). Any unresolved Matchplay tiebreakers will be determined by a single Pin, single ball, best score format at the direction of the Tournament Director.
- Top 4 Players from Finals Round win prizes. 1st place wins a brand-new Stern Translite and 2nd through 4th place each win cash.
- Round Assignments
- At 4:00pm all players will receive their group and starting hole assignments for the Qualifying Round
- All players scores start at zero at the beginning of the Qualifying Round. The Top Players scores that qualify for the Finals, will reset to zero going into the Final Round
- For each round, after each group's 1st assigned pin (hole) game play is completed, they will then move to the next “hole” (For example, each group will logically progress to the next hole. If group 3 started on hole #5, they would then proceed to hole #6, #7, #8, #9, and then to hole #1, until they end on hole # 4)
- Scoring
- A Par score (as determined by the Tournament Director) is posted on each machine (hole) in the tournament.
- Each player’s score on each PinGolf machine (hole) is based on the number of balls it takes to achieve the posted Par score.
- Reaching the Par score on 1st ball is a stroke of 1 (Eagle), 2nd ball is a stroke of 2 (Birdie), 3rd ball is a stroke of 3 (Par), and if Par is not achieved on the 3rd ball, is a stroke of 4 (Bogey)
