● Expect at least 2 & 1/2 hours for Qualifying to end. Finals to take approximately 1 hour to complete.

Tournament Details:

● Max of 16 players, playing in a Head-to-Head Tournament

● Head-to-Head match play for 8 Rounds, in which players are paired against each other in two-player games. Players will be randomly paired with previously unfaced opponents (as best as possible), and players may play the assigned pinball machines more than once. Each game win results in a point earned. At the end of qualifying rounds, the Top 4 players with the most points advance to the Finals.

● Tie-Breakers for Qualifying- Tie-Breakers will be broken using a calculation that determines the strength of the opponents faced by each player, using the Median-Buchholz and Solkoff system (ranks players by summing their opponents' final scores, excluding the highest and lowest scores to reduce distortions).

● Finals will consist of a 4-player Matchplay, using PAPA 5/3/2/1 scoring. Finals will be 3 rounds of play across 3 different pinball machines, already played during qualifying, 

● 1st place wins a brand-new Stern Translite and 2nd through 4th place each win cash.

● In the event of a tie-breaker for the Finals, tied players will play a single game (as chosen by the tournament director), where the final scoring positions break the tie.

● The PinHall opens at 3:00pm and the tournament will begin at 6:30pm.

● 2 hours for Flip Frenzy Qualifying. Finals to take 1 hour to complete.

• Closes Saturday, November 28th, 2026 at 6:00pm OR when max number of players is reached

Tournament Details:

● Max of 16 players, playing in a Head-to-Head Competition

● Flipper Frenzy tournaments are, as the name implies, a ‘frenzied’ tournament. Players will be playing head-to-head matches on as many games as possible for 2 hours straight (frenzy time may be paused at the tournament director’s discrepancy).

● When the tournament starts, head-to-head matches are created using Match Play as the tournament format, and any player(s) not assigned to a match are placed in a queue.

● Each winner receives 1 point and each loser receives 0 points for each match played.

● When each match ends, tournament will progress as follows:

   ○ Player 1 (regardless of win or loss) will become Player 2 on said game.

   ○ Player 2 will then go to the bottom of the queue.

   ○ The player at the top of the queue will become Player 1 on a new game. 

   ○ The tournament will progress in this manner until the timer runs out. 

● Finals

   o The Top 4 players with the most net wins (total wins minus total losses) will advance to the Finals.

   o Fewest losses will be used for a tie for finals qualifying. Ties will be broken by comparing the number of lost matches.

   ○ The Top 4 players will play 3 rounds of 4-player Match Play across 3 different Pinball machines, using Pinburgh scoring (3/2/1/0) to determine the winners!

   ○ In the event of a tie-breaker for the Finals, tied players will play a single game (as chosen by the tournament director), where the final scoring positions break the tie.

   o 1st place wins a brand-new Stern Translite and 2nd through 4th place each win cash prizes.

●The PinHall opens at 4:00pm and the tournament meeting will begin at 6:15pm.
